Context: VR Typography Workshop, Tallinn Erasmus (Year 4)
The Team: Sihan, Kornelija, Ira, & myself!
My Role: Ideation & Research, UX Design, Unity Development, Team Morale Support
Tools: Unity, Miro, Illustrator, Stable Audio
Duration: 1 week
Brief
Design a VR reading experience centered on sustainability, using text sources to create an engaging, spatial experience. Focus on typography, colour, and lighting to immerse the audience and encourage reflection on sustainability. The experience should motivate users to learn more and take action, while adhering to design constraints
Ideation & Research
We set a timer for individual brainstorming, then shared our sustainability ideas. As a team, we grouped similar ideas together and used a red dot voting system to select our final project concept: ‘Detox for the Burnt-Out Generation’.
Audience Experience
Interview Key Findings
The four of us split into pairs and conducted random interviews with nine people across campus, exploring their thoughts on dopamine detox through VR. Here’s what they had to say:

Relfection
Being part of this one-week Virtual Reality Typography Workshop at the Estonia Academy of Arts through Erasmus was an unforgettable experience. It was my first time in Estonia, and I had the chance to collaborate with students from different backgrounds, sharing ideas, and learning from each other. Along the way, I sharpened my VR skills, especially in understanding how text should be sized for a more natural and readable experience in a virtual space.
